Want to thank everybody who took the time to come across with us from Ireland to TOTB. It was a big commitment for alot of the guys and the craic was great! And a big thank you for everyones support once we got there (or not! You know who you are!!)
Our 1042bhp ECC tuned Evo 7 proved to be the fastest “straight line” car there overall with a 9.27@155mph 1/4 mile and a top speed run of 189.4mph!!
To top it all off we only had very minor mechanical problems – bottom water hose burst (thanks go to RossW, Gary@APT and Darin for helping out) and a suspect M&W unit.
Congratulations to Gareth in his ECC mapped starlet who did a personal best 12.31 @ 121mph, Colin in his ECC built Impreza who did a 11.92 @ 114mph and Neil in his ECC built Impreza who did a 10.8 @ 130mph.
After all the anticipation, we can now finally confirm that we have a 9-second evo again! The new setup including an all new 2.24 bottom end with GT42 – 1042bhp.
We recorded a 9.5 second quarter mile pass at Round 2 of the Irish Drag Racing Championship 2010 at Bishopscourt. This was the car’s first competitive outing since the engine build, and we are expecting more out of the car in the rest of the season.
One of our cars has made the front page in the July 2010 issue of Redline Magazine. This was a 600bhp Evo VII, which we had built for a customer locally.
See the July issue of Redline for a full spec and writeup.
Well I thought I’d put up a few photos of our latest project. Some of you may remember our yellow 7 from last year running an ECC 2.3 and AMS GT37R kit making 780bhp. You also may remember that it was full weight and although it did a 10.04 1/4, it had multiple transmission failures.
Well we’ve made a few changes.
Changed the 7 bumpers for 9 bumpers – purely cosmetic cause I think it looks so much better. New engine, turbo, fuel system and alot of weight saving. Had planned to get to the 30-130 but realistically there just wasn’t enough time after we realised that we had been sent the wrong pistons (Big thanks to Simon Norris for sorting that one out )
